Deborah joined Charlie's Place in July 2003 as the Family program counselor. She is now the Family Program Manager.

Previously, she worked at Turning Point Counseling, The Family Place, and Texas A&M University Corpus Christi Counseling and Training Center. She also maintains a private practice.

Deborah is working to finish her PhD and become a counselor educator. Deborah has received several awards including Del Mar College Hall of Fame Recipient, Del Mar College Outstanding Student in Psychology, and Outstanding Member Award from Chi Sigma Iota at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
