The Henderson House serves 16 female clients participating in either Intensive or Supportive
Residential services, including daily group and/or
individual counseling, chemical dependency education classes, and life skills classes.
The Henderson House was the first house purchased by the agency at this location and has been in use since 1968. The house is named for
its original owners.
When Mr. Ben Cannon, a founding
Board member, and
Charlie Acklen negotiated the deal to purchase the Henderson House — they had no idea where the funds would come from.
With a lot of prayer, a great deal of hope and hard work the house was purchased and Charlie’s Place began to serve the community as a residential facility.
