The recently rededicated Coleman House is the home of the HUD-funded program which provides long term treatment for homeless men.
This program currently serves 14 men per day and allows them to stay in treatment for up to two years. The average length of stay is
7-12 months. This program helps create long term stability by requiring the client to continue long term treatment, be active in the 12-Step
Community, obtain additional education or training necessary to obtain employment, secure employment and save at least 70 percent of earnings.
The Coleman House, previously the Ivy House, was renamed and dedicated to the memory of Carl Coleman in February 2006. Carl was a longtime
board member and friend of Charlie’s Place and he will be missed greatly. Carl truly loved this program and the opportunities it provides to the
clients most in need. We were thrilled to rename the house in his memory.
