The Cannon House currently serves two programs. There are 18 beds total with nine available to residential services and nine
dedicated to our newest program for homeless veterans.
The Veteran’s Program is a partnership with the Health Care for Homeless Veterans and provides long term treatment and housing for homeless vets.
This program began in Janaury 2006 and we are excited to be offering specialized services to such an important population.
The Cannon House is named after one of the founders of the agency, Mr. Ben Cannon, who was dedicated to Charlie’s Place from the beginning.
Mr. Cannon passed away in 2003 at the age of 101 —- having never had a drink. Even though he did not suffer from addiction, Mr. Cannon loved our
clients and believed that all they needed was another chance. His compassion and genuine nature are missed.
