Unlike a hospital or institutional treatment center, Charlie's Place provides a unique environment for clients to focus on treatment.
Our facility is separated from any other residential or business areas by a large buffer of undeveloped property, so privacy and seclusion are assured.
Clients live in one of seven residential houses, winding along a quiet,
U-shaped and tree-lined street. There is an abundance of open area with large trees and shrubs
where
clients can take a stroll to enjoy the
peace and tranquility of the grounds. It is an ideal place for reflecting and meditating.
More like a college campus than an institution or hospital, Charlie's Place is a recovery community with friendly staff, many of whom are in recovery themselves.
Clients adjust to this environment easily, are more comfortable, and quickly feel a part of the community.
Along with the client houses, a large metal building houses a central kitchen and cafeteria on one end, and a recreational area
on the other end where clients enjoy activities like ping-pong, foosball, cards or board games, computers and big screen
TV. Outside the rec area lies a large patio with
picnic tables for weekend BBQ's or for just socializing during free time. An adjacent metal building houses the counseling offices.
Charlie's Place offers seven
different residential units
where clients live while receiving treatment:
